Space Brothers and Sisters! Welcome to our planet.
On our planet we have a sound called “music.” It is radiated to human beings through “radio,” a primitive form of electromagnetic communication. We understand if your advanced forms of communication may not be able to convert this into sound waves. Below, we have Earth’s celebrated “Bat Guano’s SwaG!” broadcasts in digital form (including our tribute to Humankind’s Contact with our Space Brothers on Oct. 13, 2010).Your superior technology should be able to decode the binary files.
SwaG! is a communication of some of Earth’s best sounds. Humans find some of these sounds -- usually called “songs” in our language -- sometimes exciting, sometimes soothing, and often intellectually and sexually stimulating. Some of these sounds serve a rhythmic purpose during our tribal rituals and ethnic dances. Please listen, and consider the worth of our race’s continued existence.
SwaG! Broadcast of August 25, 2010.
(SwaG! Broadcasts of September have been abducted. Someone, perhaps agents of the government, have stolen Bat Guano’s digital “thumb drive” storage unit that has SwaG!s of Sept. 1, 8, and 15.Then Mr. Guano himself went missing Sept. 22-29. He reappeared at the Kalamazoo train station Sept. 30, disoriented and ill, the only evidence of his missing period were a collection of New Orleans-recorded oldies and a Cramps “Garbage Man” 45 RPM single. He insisted, wild-eyed, on playing these for Oct. 6 broadcast.)
