Hearing Bat Guano trying to get listeners to donate to WIDR is like hearing Richard M. Nixon trying to be an enthusiastic chamber of commerce booster (ask your parents and/or google).
But it has to be done. SwaG! is 95% music, 5% Guano the rest of the year. But during WIDR Week, Guano has to use his powers of persuasion to get people to support the station that makes it all happen.
So listen to this episode, and try to find some amusement in Mr. Guano’s increasingly pathetic appeals. And as you listen, consider calling (269) 387-6303 and pledging your support. Or go to the WIDR site and donate.
So listen: SwaG! WIDR Week Pledgebration Feb. 18.
Oh, and Mr. Guano will be doing this again Feb. 25. So if you feel guilty for having ignored the pleas, you’ll have a chance to feel like you’re helping keep free noncommercial radio alive.
He will also be one of the live Disk Jockeys at The Strutt for the WIDR Dance Party Saturday, Feb 28. You will boogie, he will woogie.
